After several months of planning and testing the new, faster and easier to use feconnect will be launched next week. Feconnect will be offline for most of Monday 21 March while we apply the upgrades and migrate it to a new server.
The main benefits of the new site are:
- Improved speed
- updated look and feel that also works well on tablets / mobiles
- email alerts options so that you can choose how often you receive updates
Yesterday we hosted a meeting with community learning providers. We discussed what the impact was of moving community learning funds to the adult skills budget for 2016 to 2017 and beyond. We also gave a demonstration of the new look feconnect site pointing out some of the new features.
We hope many of you were able to hold events for National Apprenticeship Week which is now drawing to a close. At the time of writing there were over 30,000 new apprenticeship positions pledged by employers.
Apprenticeship levy: how it will work
BIS have just published some guidance on how the apprenticeship levy will work. It will apply to all UK employers in both the private and public sectors who pay annual pay bills of more than £3 million. The guidance explains who the levy affects, how much you will pay and what happens once the money has been paid.
The ILR R08 data collection will open at 9am on Monday, 21 March and will close at 6pm on Wednesday, 6 April 2016. You might like to submit a file early if you are taking a break for Easter.
2014 to 2015 QAR – provider type and national comparators
Following the provisional QAR data release on 29 February 2016, we will add provider type and national comparators to your QAR dashboards on 31 March 2016. This will be the final release for 2014 to 2015 QAR information. In future, we will release provisional data in mid-December and the national rates at the end of January.
